The Advanced Manufacturing Institute, located on the Kansas State University campus, is the leader in engineering and business solutions. The redesign of their corporate headquarters called for a marriage of the design office and manufacturing plant.

The plan features an L-shaped central avenue, which not only sets a hierarchy of circulation, but also expresses levels of privacy for visiting clients versus employees.

Special attention was placed on the employee workspaces. The office accommodates a wide variety of working styles and has dedicated spaces for each phase of a project. Interns work one-on-one with their mentors and storage areas double as impromptu meeting spaces.
