The Morton Desk is named after its only connection: the mortise and tenon joint, which connects the solid birch top to the bronze end pieces. The desk is quickly disassembled, allowing for easy storage or transportation. The birch has been given a traditional Danish soap finish, allowing it to maintain a natural look. The bronze was sand cast and bead blasted to give it a smooth finish, and the final pieces were then given a patina finish. The stark contrast between the two materials highlights their flush connection.

The Morton Desk won first prize in the Eligius Bronze Furniture Design Competition.
